Okay I’m likely missing something but is there a way to set the front defroster so it doesn’t only blast on high? Or is there not a low setting or another way to defog the front windshield?

Right now no matter how far I am from a supercharger as soon as I set the destination to one, the battery will start preconditioning. If this is true, then let's say you going on a long trip fron NY to LA. That means 99% of the trip you will be going from supercharger to supercharger. As soon as you put the car in drive the battery will star precondition and it will precondition for the entire trip until the last supercharger before the final destination.

Is that how ot supposed to work? I have read that preconditioning reduces the range.

I'm new to the Tesla app. When I know I'm going to be leaving how should I precondition the battery and car cabin? I see that I can set the climate, but that makes no mention of getting the battery ready. If I schedule the preconditioning I have to remember to cancel the schedule. (which I'm no good at. Today the car was all warm and toasty and ready to go, for a trip I scheduled and took yesterday) Work from home means I don't have a set driving schedule, and it's winter here so a warm car is one of the perks for having a charger in the garage.

So, what is the best way to precondition Tesla battery and cabin?

Wife's phone was always finicky with connecting to the car and switching the seat to her driver profile. Mine always worked flawlessly and switched to my settings as soon as I opened the door. Might not be related but a few days after I've updated to 2021.44.25.6 my phone stopped connecting to the car as well.

I reconnected both my and my wife's phones to the car and everything works as supposed to except it doesn't switch between driver profiles. We have to go into the menu on the screen and switch profiles so the seat, mirrors and steering wheel adjust accordingly. Anyone else have this problem?
