It's because your car is yellow.

You can change from mile to % both in the car and on the app. You need to go in the car then change it there to miles. Changing it in the app only shows the total % or miles not how fast it is charging.

Change to miles instead of percent for battery range

    You should be getting 25-30

How do you have 5 shortcuts?

It’s way more complicated than it needs to be. I’m not even sure I could explain it with only words in a way that would make sense.

Impossible been trying this for the last 5 mins

This video does not even show the actual easy way to do it. Hold icons to edit, grab icon you want to add with one finger, drag it over top of right-most icon in your row without letting go, use another finger to swipe from left to right on the row, then let go. Voila.

The app does not show a mi/hr charging rate. Also, highly recommend switching to percentage and never looking back.

It shows mi/hr charged if you have your car set to show miles of range vs percentage. If you percentage set then you get kw/hr charge as this is showing. OP has percentage shown hense the screenshot. I'm guessing they just recently changed that setting and now wondering why it's not showing charge rate in mi/hr.

        Correct response here

      2. aBaklavaBalaclava

This is incorrect. On the app, changing between miles and percentage does not change the charge rate units. OP has miles shown, not percentage.

Derek is actually 100% correct. It’s not how you set it on the app/phone, it’s how you set it on the tablet in the car. They already have it set to percentage in the car, that’s why it’s showing like it does in the app. If they change it to miles in the car, then the charge rate will show like they want in the app.

            Thank you

I stand corrected. You learn something new everyday…

It totally does. Not sure if it is a feature or a bug. But if you set your car to display mile, you app will show mile/h charge. I know this issue myself since day one

Yeah and I hate it. I’d much rather have percentage in the car, but show me how many miles I’ve put into the battery on the app. Not sure why this is not allowed.

I'm using Tessie now. I hate the official Tesla app in general. I don't know why they have to wake up the car as soon as you open the app. Sometimes I'm just reading the messages from tesla service. Each time the car is waken up, it stays awake for at least 0.5 hours, and cost 1-2 km range. It's not a lot but it adds up if SC and I go back and forth several times a day.

I honestly don't have faith in the software team at Tesla.
