The release door hatch button in the app. This is listed in the owners manual.
Hidden menu. Thanks
Idk why this is downvoted. It is hidden nerds
Because it’s an Easter egg bro
If you press and hold one of the 4 icons at the top of your tesla app you should open up another set of commands. At the very bottom there is a command that will unlatch the driver's side door. This will unlock and pop the door open a bit, you just got to grab the door quickly otherwise you'll have to tap it again (if you're slightly angled the door can open itself all the way too).
There is a third party app called Tessie that will also allow you to do the same for all the other passenger doors but it does require a subscription or a lifetime payment.
Thanks. Found it
If the app unlatch door doesn’t work for you there is directions in the manual on how to free up a frozen handle pretty easily. Manual is available in the Tesla app on your phone.
Preheat your car with defrosters going on High setting from your app. “Climate” mode on your phone app—“Defrost Car”. It’s designed for warm air to circulate inside the door panels and reach the handles and charge port. Been doing that in rain frozen winter mornings since I bought the car in 2018. Learning curve. Plus the car is all warm and toasty to then drive. I activate my seat heater too.
Just smack the handle with the palm of your hand.
Also keep de-icer at your home/office
I don’t know who donvoted you, but that’s what the owners manual says. Bang with palm a few times to break up the ice.
These door handles are objectively terrible design. Number one issue being how they aren’t intuitive at all. Had to break out hot water for my car this morning. Never done that in my 20 years of driving
I also learned you push the front of the handle to pop it out, then proceed to open it
Heat them up?
With? The parking lot didn’t have a hair dryer on hand.
