Any recommendations on best value for replacement tires. I’m needing to replace tires after 23,000 miles. Only the front two need to be replaced and I’m getting quoted $850 from Tesla. I’m leaning on replacing all 4 but don’t want to wait the three weeks for the dealer.

I use Discount Tire, I use Michelins, and am getting Defenders next time because they carry an 80k warranty iirc.

I take all my cars (5 of them between our family and my inlaws) to Discount Tire. They seem to always have some sort of sale and will match costco prices. Service is much better and you don't have to wait forever like Costco tire centers.

I like Michelins so probably will get them when I need to replace.

Discount Tire will also rotate for free and repair for free if you get your tires from them.

Actually they fix flats for free even if you didn’t purchase tires from them.

Saved from another post so can't speak to them. Quatrac Pro

Make sure to get an alignment. I’ve been reading that they can be off even from the factory.

The only tires I consider are continental ExtremeContact or Michelin pilot sport series tries. Summer only if you live somewhere warm, or all season variants if not. Both of these tires are incredible, Conti being slightly cheaper and 95% as good

Discount tire - CrossClimate 2 - amazing tires, especially if you deal with snow.

I'll be putting Goodyear tires on mine. https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/eagle-sport-all-season

Have you enjoyed your Goodyears so far ?

I bought some Gemini wheels (the stock 19” wheels that the Y comes with) and put General Altimax RT43’s on them since Discount Tire had them in stock and ready to be mounted. I have no complaints so far.

Tires play a huge size in comfort and drivability. I got a set of 4 Pirelli's for about $1800 from Discount tire. Definitely softened the ride on the MY but still allows for plenty of plenty of stiffness when I want to hoon around in the car.

Wait till Costco has one one those 4 for the price of 3 deals

This is the reason Tesla is not cheaper to own

This car has indeed been cheap to own. We love it.

Absolutely love the Tesla. Been a fan since 2009. I’m just stating the fact that have to get 2 sets of tires by 55,000 milesis not cheap for people when they are considering buying a Tesla. That’s all no need for the hate from everyone.

For a “luxury car”, it’s cheaper. I paid $410 to have the service team come to my garage and replace a tire completely. The same service with Mercedes or other would have involved going to the dealership (if your comparing Tesla service to Mercedes service) and paying much more. Again, not talking about taking both cars to a place like Discount Tire. But the raw “ownership perks” are cheaper and more convenient, compared to others.

Def not. Expensive tires , expensive to fix and expensive insurance.

Have you been rotating? Also just go to a real tire place for a quote like big o tires etc.

Good time to be in the tire business.
