Tesla Model 3 randomly triggers alarm post updating to 2024.8.9
While away on holiday I noticed my car had an update waiting for me and I thought why not update this so when I’m back in town I have a new update. Turns out that since I have updated this, my car alarm gets triggered every now and then. It has happened twice in 3 days and when I got back and drove to work and back, it happened again. (Service has been requested via Tesla App)
Anyone else have this issue?
Tesla came back saying there is an “ultrasonic” sensor in the car that is triggering this. How?!
Lol ! Get rid of flies and mosquitoes? 😂
Sure, while I am at it, might as well remove the birds too 😂😂😂
I have actually had two instances where my alarm went off randomly and both times I found a (small) fly in my car. If it flies near the cabin sensor it can definitely trigger the alarm.
Now I try to check and make sure I don't leave any inside, luckily I live in a city and there usually not that many bugs around.
Ok fine that could be possible but ultrasonic sensors in the car? How does that even work? I get it if it uses the camera in the cabin to see but mine is covered since I got the car so it can’t be that. No way there is an actual single ultrasonic sensor in the car because they aren’t accurate like literally anything can trigger that…
Hey, it's 100% an insect. Already had this happens numerous times with flies and mosquitoes.
Maybe it got scared?
I hope not LOL
This happened to me as well. They do have intrusion sensors in the cabin for Euro spec cars but not in North America.
Mine is Middle East but it’s made in Giga Shanghai so prob the same as Euro Spec, any clue where this sensor is located?
