New Model Y Juniper Advertises 250kW, how is that any different?
The new Tesla model Y is apparently advertising a 250 kW peak charge rate. People were excited on Twitter, but I don’t understand how this is new. Can it sustain this for longer? Funny enough I have seen over 250 kW when my battery on my model Y is below 10% at the new superchargers. Photo above! What’s the highest charge rate you all have seen on your cars?
‘24 LR AWD MY: 255 kW. I suspect we won’t see any difference in battery capacity or charging speed.
They might have been talking about the RWD version which is like 170kwh or something currently
Ah this would make more sense! Everything is a spam of numbers getting thrown around and not making much sense
They probably didn't change any of the wiring like some people speculated. 48V is unlikely. I've gotten 258kw on mine
Highest I’ve pulled is 256kW. Lasts less than a minute but it’s cool to see.
258 is bonkers. I get hyped every time I’m above 900mi/hr it’s so exciting - ha
Yep it showed i think 1000 miles and hour at one point. Ofc it doesn't last more than a few seconds
Like many things in life...
I love my Tesla. But I probably won’t buy another one until the capacity goes above 1000 miles. And I know it will! I just don’t know when.
Pulled 266kW on my S Plaid a couple weeks ago. Never seen it that high. Sadly that’s only 900mi/hr on the S Plaid due to being less energy efficient.
I feel like that was a missed opportunity for Tesla to really take advantage of their charging infrastructure.
So basically just semi. And cybertruck can take full use of the new v4 chargers
Well there is no v4 chargers yet. Semi can’t use a supercharger, only MCS.
The dopamine hit when I see my '21 MYP hit 250kw is nice, until it disappears real quick due to the curve
